Seneca Children Learn to Preserve Culture

Dec 02, 2003 — Almost 40 years ago, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers built a dam in northwestern Pennsylvania. Hundreds of Senecas list their land, homes and traditions to the dam's reservoir. Seneca President Lobbies Against Tax Collections

Native Americans Weigh Contaminated Fish Risks

Jan 20, 2003 — There's a trend among some Native Americans. They're trying to return to more traditional diets. Many believe various health problems among indian populations are due, in part, to adopting a diet much heavier in sugars, starches and fats then their ancestors diets. But they're concerned that pollution has tainted any of the traditional foods, such as fish.
