Nov 22, 2006 — Police say a church fire in the Adirondack village of Pottserville last May was an act of religious intolerance. According to the Warren County Sheriff's office, 20-year-old Caleb Uriah Lussier confessed to burning the church. Lussier is a student at the Word of Life Bible Institute in Schroon Lake. Investigators say he believed that the Episcopal church had deviated from the true teachings of the Bible. Jun 06, 2006 — The Warren County Sheriff's Office and the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives say a fire that destroyed the Episcopal church in Pottersville was arson. The church burned last Tuesday, triggering a full-scale investigation. Federal agents have interviewed more than 75 people. They're offering a $5000 reward for information. The fire followed two burglaries and other acts of vandalism in mid-May. On Sunday, Episcopal Bishop Daniel Herzog held a service and a ceremony of healing in Pottersville. The church had a small congregation, with fewer than 20 members.
