Heard Up North: Visiting the Queen on Canada Day

Queen Elizabeth the second is in Ottawa as part of a 9-day visit, her 22nd official tour of Canada. The Queen will be on Parliament Hill for Canada Day ceremonies today, to the delight of royal watchers of all ages. Queen Observes Wet Thanksgiving in Ottawa

Under driving wind and rain yesterday, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip attended a Canadian Thanksgiving service in Ottawa. About 3,500 people joined the royal couple for the outdoor ceremony on Parliament Hill. Todd Moe chats with some of the many royal watchers.  Go to full article

Royals Visit Canada

Royal watchers in Canada's capital region are getting a double dose this week. The King and Queen of Norway visited Hull to unveil a Vikings exhibit at the Museum of Civilization yesterday, and Princess Margriet of the Netherlands arrives tomorrow to attend the annual Tulip Festival in Ottawa.
