NY21 Poll: Owens leads Doheny by 13 points
Plattsburgh, NY, Sep 10, 2012 — The Siena College Research Institute released the first independent poll of the 21st district congressional race Monday at 6 a.m. The survey shows Democratic incumbent Bill Owens holding a commanding lead over Republican challenger Matt Doheny.
Owens is winning 49 percent of voter support, according to the poll. Doheny is attracting just 36 percent support from those surveyed. Third party Green candidate Donald Hassig is garnering six percent. Go to full article

Mar 13, 2009 — Democrat Scott Murphy has closed to within five points of Republican frontrunner Jim Tedisco in the 20th congressional district race. Steven Greenberg with Siena College says the race is now "too close to call." The influential Rothenberg Report now calls the race a "toss-up." Scott Murphy, a political newcomer from Glens Falls, has nearly erased what was a 20-point gap just a month ago. Tedisco, the top Republican in the state Assembly, is scrambling to retool his campaign and his TV ads.
