Preview: Catamount Lodge & Forest Woods Walk with TAUNY

You're invited to take a walk in the woods and learn more about the future of a special tract of Adirondack land at the Catamount Lodge & Forest Woods Walk, tomorrow (10 am-3 pm). The event is sponored by Traditional Arts in Upstate New York, or TAUNY, and hosted by Catamount's new owners, Joe and Ruth McWilliams. Over lunch tomorrow, they'll share their objectives for owning the property and talk about their long-term management plans. Rt 56 in St. Lawrence County Could Reopen Next Month

Part of a state highway closed by flash floods in St. Lawrence County last month may reopen by the middle of November. Route 56, a main connecting route between the Adirondacks and the St. Lawrence Valley, washed out in two places near South Colton. Martha Foley reports.  Go to full article
