During her July trip to the Stratford Festival, resident theatre critic Connie Meng was able to talk with composer and conductor Berthold Carriere. He wrote the music for The Tempest and is also the conductor of Into the Woods. Connie talked to him about the process of writing music for a play. Ontario-based actor Stephen Ouimette, perhaps best known for his work at the Stratford Festival, has had a long and distinguished career on the stage, TV and film. During her recent trip to the Stratford Festival, in Stratford, Ontario, Connie Meng had a chance to talk with Ouimette. He's currently playing Caliban in The Tempest, Touchstone in As You Like It and will be appearing at the National Arts Centre, in Ottawa, in January in the Pulitzer Prize-winning one-man play, I Am My Own Wife.
