(02/14/11) Friday night was a Winter Carnival Rotary Show in Saranac Lake. One of the performers this year was Adirondack singer-songwriter Roy Hurd. Here he is performing his song Adirondack Woman at the Harrietstown Town Hall.
(02/14/11) This song, co-written by Howie Campbell and Sarah Curtis, has a nice medieval touch and is the theme song of this year's Saranac Lake Winter Carnival. The players are: Howie Campbell-vocals, guitar and chimes; Sarah Curtis-vocals, ukelele; Susan Grimm-flute; Martha Mozdzier-cello; Russell Feher-bohdran, tambourine. (08/29/10) Going Home was written by Pat Duniho, a North Country native who grew up alongside the Au Sable River in view of Whiteface mountain. He now lives in Plattsburgh, NY, where he's raising a daughter, teaching high school art, making his own instruments (including a fiddle and a mandolin,) painting, and writing songs. His daughter-in-law plays fiddle for DC-based Americana bad Dead Men's Hollow. The song will appear on their new CD, Angels' Share, due to be released September 21.

(02/19/09) String Fever host Barb Heller welcomes a whole slew of traditional musicians into the studio to perform standards and favorites. To encourage the radio audience to play along, all the sheet music was posted online. You can download this audio and play along yourself.
