Jul 01, 2010 — Governor David Paterson this morning began the lengthy process of vetoing the nearly 6,900 line items the legislature added to its budget bills. Apr 30, 2003 — Fighting words from the governor: he called the legislature's version of the state budget "irresponsible" and vowed to fight back with vetoes and political pressure. Also yesterday, the Republican-dominated state Senate voted unanimously to override Pataki's veto of a bill delaying school budget votes. The Assembly overrode the bill Monday.
