State of Mental Health Care in the Prisons
Jun 28, 2002 — A new report issued today argues that the 67,000 inmates in New York's prison system need better health care - and mental health counseling. Eleven percent of the state's prisoners are diagnosed with mental illness. Brian Mann talks with Jennifer Wynn, with the Correctional Association of New York, which issued the study.

Icy Canoe on South Bay
May 07, 2002 — Yesterday, we heard about canoe races - the Whitewater Derby in North Creek in particular. Today, we stay on the water, but on a canoe trip of a different sort. Brian Mann paddled up the headwaters of Lake Champlain in the late fall of 2000 - up South Bay, which will never see the traffic that the Saranac, or the Grasse or the Oswegatchie do.
