NCPR Studio Production ServicesIf you have a recording project in mind, North Country Public Radio offers professional studio services. Contact: Joel Hurd joel@ncpr.org Our Facilities:North Country Public Radio has the most state-of-the-art recording facility in the North Country. In Winter 2008 NCPRs production studio underwent a complete renovation, thanks to a grant from the New York State Music Fund, a grant program of Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors. The studio is a Macintosh-based digital facility that can record up to 16 tracks at a time with limitless overdubs. Whatever your music or spoken-word project, we can handle it. Our main studio is a 323 square-foot performance space, and is ideal for a classical ensemble, jazz combo, rock band, or spoken-word production. An adjacent studio on the other side of the glass serves as an ideal isolation booth.
Our mixing environment is completely automated with the mixer and software synced via firewire. A wide variety of plugins, in both the recording software and the digital mixer, allow us to create the sonic landscape your project calls for. For broadcasters, we offer a Gentner hybrid for phone interviews and a Comrex Access IP Codec for full-bandwidth 2-way audio transfer with other studios that have an Access. Our Recording Gear:
