Planned Giving: Cleveland Legacy Society

Fred Cleveland was part of the NCPR family. He came to our parties, visited to "shop" for thank you gifts during fundraisers, stopped by for lunch, invited us to stay with him in New York City, and he remembered NCPR with a significant bequest. His nephews later added to that bequest with a final disbursement from his estate, bringing his lifetime giving to NCPR to a total of $105,025.00.

We loved Fred. We still miss him. We are now asking our other friends to join Fred in remembering NCPR in your wills or estate plans. And, we're honoring our friend and supporter, Fred Cleveland, by naming our Legacy Society for him.

This is one of those clubs we hope you will join. All you have to do is let us know that you have remembered NCPR in your will. We'd like a copy of the language you've used for our records, but that is not essential. Just drop us a note or email, or print off the response card linked below and mail it to us--and you're in! It's that simple. We will thank you for your generosity and foresight, include you in the Fred Cleveland Legacy Society list in future bequest-related mailings and list you here.

Why Remember NCPR in My Estate Plans?

We can think of lots of reasons!

  1. You loved the station during life and want to help it remain financially secure.

  2. Your family and children will have enough and you can make a permanent difference by investing in your favorite not-for-profit.

  3. Your station will always need community investment to continue to provide meaningful service to the region we love.

  4. Simply because you can and it matters!

  5. You can make your gift in honor of a family member or station staff person, and we'll acknowledge that remembrance on our air during your lifetime.

  6. Your estate is larger than the current estate tax limit and you will simply be giving your assets to the government--to use any way they wish--if you don't give some away before your passing.

  7. Grateful listeners who include a legacy gift for NCPR in their estate plans contribute to NCPR's permanent endowment. Income from this endowment provides the financial margin that supports programming as we strive to deliver the exceptional. Your foresight and planning will ensure that generations of NCPR listeners will benefit.
