(Aug 2, 2007) Later this month, Adirondackers will get a glimpse of local history that's been hidden for nearly a hundred years. Antiques and artifacts from the great camp lodge at Follensby Park, near Tupper Lake, will be sold at auction on August 25th. The sale has sparked speculation that the 14,500-acre estate might be sold to a conservation group or to the state of New York. The property includes one of the most beautiful and pristine lakes in the Adirondack Park. Brian Mann spoke with Kip Blanchard from Potsdam. He's the auctioneer who was hired to sell hundreds of objects from the White Birches lodge.
(Mar 4, 2003) The town of Dekalb Junction, just southwest of Canton, is known by treasure hunters as the antique capital of St. Lawrence County. But every Wednesday, bargain hunters of a different kind park their 4x4s and trailers all along Route 11 for Seymour’s Commission Sales weekly livestock auction. David Sommerstein stopped in and sends this audio postcard.
(Apr 3, 2002) SUNY-Plattsburgh art students are teaming up to help some New York City artists who lost their studios in the World Trade Center on September 11th.
