<description><![CDATA[ (Mar 22, 2012) You&apos;ll have a chance to show off that favorite, wild hat at Bluseed Studios in Saranac Lake on Friday night (5:30 pm).  Judges will pick the craziest, most entertaining hats and the Mad Hatter&apos;s Party will also support programs for women living with cancer, chronic diseases and whose spouses are serving in the military.Creative Healing Connections has provided retreats in the Adirondacks for women for the past 14 years and proceeds from Friday&apos;s event will fund scholarships.Todd Moe spoke with Naj Wikoff, president of Creative Healing Connections, about Friday&apos;s Mad Hatter&apos;s Party and how the arts can be used as a tool for healing. <description><![CDATA[ (Dec 9, 2011) William Luce&apos;s one-woman play celebrating the life and poetry of Emily Dickinson, The Belle of Amherst, will be presented in a special performance benefiting residents of the Town of Jay who experienced the devastating effects of Tropical Storm Irene this summer.  The one-woman show will be performed Saturday night (7 pm) at BluSeed Studios in Saranac Lake.  Todd Moe talks with Jay actress Kathleen Recchia, who reprises her role as Dickinson for this special performance, about the show and clean-up efforts that still continue this month. The artists are affiliated with BluSeed Studios in Saranac Lake.  The second part of the project will be held this summer when a group of artists from Mazatlan will work and exchange ideas with North Country artists.
