<title>Choral group explores traditional English Christmas music</title>

<description><![CDATA[ (Dec 19, 2012) A northern Adirondack chamber choral group will perform Festival of Lessons and Carols on Friday night at Notre Dame Church in Malone, St. Peter&apos;s Church in Plattsburgh on Saturday night and on Sunday afternoon at St. Agnes Church in Lake Placid.   The Northern Adirondack Vocal Ensemble, or &quot;NAVE&quot;, has twenty singers from Clinton, Essex and Franklin Counties.  It&apos;s conducted by Andrew Benware.  Todd Moe talks with Angela Brown, a co-founder and singer in the group. <description><![CDATA[ (Dec 3, 2009) Kim Simmonds is heading into four decades of playing the Blues. He founded legendary British Blues band, Savoy Brown, in 1965.  He recently finished a solo cd, and has been quietly and passionately painting and drawing for the last ten years.  Simmonds hosts an exhibit of his guitar paintings and a concert at Saranac Village at Will Rogers, Saturday at 7:00 pm.  Todd Moe spoke with him about connections between making music and the visual arts. <description><![CDATA[ (Nov 3, 2009) As Americans head to the polls today, Prince Charles and his wife, the Duchess of Cornwall, are in Canada for an 11-day tour, including appearances in Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa. It&apos;s the Prince of Wales&apos; sixteenth visit to Canada, but his first since marrying Camilla. Royal watchers are pleased to see the famous couple first-hand.  But for other Canadians, the tour revives questions about whether kings and queens should still have a place in Canada. Lucy Martin reports.
