<description><![CDATA[ (Oct 29, 2009) She grew up in a small Illinois town, and is renowned for what&apos;s been called her &quot;sumptuous voice&quot;.  Soprano Christine Brewer gives a recital in Hosmer Hall at the Crane School of Music in Potsdam tonight (7:30).  She&apos;s performed all over the world in concert, recital and operatic performances, including London, Chicago and New York City. Todd Moe spoke with Brewer about her musical career.  She began as a violinist, went to college wanting to be a teacher and hasn&apos;t forgotten her love of working with students.
