<description><![CDATA[ (Aug 22, 2006) Concerts, recitals and workshops featuring the Gregg Smith Singers have been summer features in Saranac Lake for 35 years.  The ensemble, known for its contemporary American choral music, celebrated its 50th anniversary this past year, and director Gregg Smith celebrated his 75th birthday this week.  Todd Moe has more on the maestro and his group who have, for decades, fostered new music and nurtured young composers and singers.
