<description><![CDATA[ (Feb 22, 2013) A small plane crashed into Nye Mountain, one of the 46 Adirondack High Peaks, last night with three men on board, according to press accounts.The crash happened south of Lake Placid. Essex County Emergency Services Director Donald Jaquish told the Plattsburgh Press Republican there were no injuries. <description><![CDATA[ (Aug 22, 2012) Authorities say a small plane that was forced to land on an Adirondack lake last week had lost its propeller in midair. The plane was contracted by the U.S. Defense Department to support an ongoing Vermont Air National Guard training exercise. It was recovered from Gull Lake in northern Herkimer County over the weekend by a private salvage company. <description><![CDATA[ (Nov 18, 2009) A plane crash in the town of Newcomb in the Adirondacks has left two men dead.  The crash occurred over the weekend, leaving Dan Wills and Ron Rouselle, both from northern Franklin County, dead at the scene.  State police and forest rangers, along with Federal border patrol agents, participated in the search.  Brian Mann has details. <description><![CDATA[ (May 17, 2007) The man who died in a plane crash last month at the Adirondack Regional Airport in Lake Clear had assumed another identity for more than 15 years in an attempt to escape what police say was a criminal past.  49 year-old Scott Thomas has been tentatively identified through his fingerprints as Phillip W. Cook, according to State Police, who also found a suitcase with $60,000 in cash in the plane wreckage.  Chris Knight reports.
