<description><![CDATA[ (Apr 29, 2010) In celebration of National Poetry Month, the St. Lawrence University Brewer Bookstore held it&apos;s annual Poetry Slam this week.  We invited three members of the SLU community to share their winning poems and a surreal, community &quot;Mad-Lib&quot;.  SLU seniors Mwelwa Bwalya and Gavin Bennett, along with the bookstore&apos;s Paul Haggett, joined Todd Moe in the studio for a mini poetry slam. <description><![CDATA[ (May 1, 2008) Some of the top performance poets in the country will be at Bluseed Studios in Saranac Lake tonight.   Nationally acclaimed poets Roger Bonair-Agard, Rachel McKibbens and Patricia Smith will take the stage to share their favorite poems out loud.  These slam poetry champs push and blur boundaries between music, art, theater and literature.  Tonight’s free event (8 pm) is sponsored by the Adirondack Center for Writing.
