(Nov 25, 2005) A strike averted at Carthage hospital. Root, root, for the Rutabagas: the weird sport of rutabaga curling.

(Nov 19, 2003) 170 workers walked off the job yesterday at Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone. The union had planned a 5-day strike, designed to force better healthcare and pension benefits from hospital management. But Alice Hyde officials say striking employees will be locked out and replaced by temporary workers until the company’s latest contract offer is accepted. As Brian Mann reports, both sides seem prepared for a long and bitter fight.
