(Jun 11, 2010) The Hyde Collection art museum in Glens Falls celebrates American artist Andrew Wyeth this summer. Wyeth passed away in January, 2009, and the exhibit will unravel some of the myths about the legendary artist, and offer an evaluation of his contribution to art of the 20th century. The exhibit was organized by the Hyde's executive director David Setford and deputy director Erin Coe. Todd Moe spoke with Setford about Wyeth and his art, including the Hyde's own work by Wyeth purchased by the museum's founder in 1937.
(Feb 8, 2008) Rumors are circulating in Rouses Point that jobs might be cut at the Wyeth Pharmaceuticals plant, despite the recent sale of the facility to a new company. At the time of the announcement, Akrimax officials promised to maintain full employment at the facility. But that now appears in question. Brian Mann has details.
Wyeth plant sold, 800 North Country jobs saved

(Jan 16, 2008) The North Country scored a major economic victory on Tuesday, as Governor Eliot Spitzer unveiled a plan to save the pharmaceutical plant in Rouses Point. Wyeth Pharmaceuticals announced two years ago that the facility would close no later than 2009. But with the help of a three million dollar taxpayer subsidy, a new company stepped in. As Brian Mann reports, Akrimax Pharmaceuticals plans to maintain more than 800 high-paying jobs.
Wyeth Closure Will Cut 1200 Jobs in Clinton County

(Oct 12, 2005) The pharmaceutical company Wyeth will lay off 1200 workers at its plant in Rouses Point. The announcement was made yesterday afternoon. The layoffs will be phased in over the next three years. Officials in Clinton County say the plant closure removes one of the North Country's economic engines. As Brian Mann reports, the decision followed a sharp decline in the sales of premarin, a hormone therapy drug manufactured in Rousses Point.
(Oct 11, 2005) One of the North Country's biggest private employers announced today that they're closing a manufacturing plant in Rouses Point, in northern Clinton County. Wyeth pharmaceuticals will cut roughly 1,200 jobs over the next three years. Brian Mann discussed the development with Ellen Rocco.Correction: The job loss for Clinton County will be 5% of privat esector employment, not 1 in 5 jobs. Brian Mann misspoke during this live interview.
