This compelling opera, inspired by an episode from Dante's Inferno, returns in the Met's ravishingly beautiful production, last seen in 1986. Dramatic soprano Eva-Maria Westbroek & tenor Marcello Giordani are doomed lovers. Marco Armiliato conducts.
