Everyone interested in helping out in the planning of the Battle of Plattsburgh events in September is welcome to attend their meetings held in the Battle of Plattsburgh Association Theater on the second Thursday of each month.

The SUNY Canton ASCE Student Chapter will be demonstrating the rapid assembly of their steel bridge in the Richard W. Miller Campus Center Gym. They are preparing for the 2008 National Student Steel Bridge Competition at the University of Florida.

A support group which provides a safe and supportive environment for those who have experienced the loss of a pregnancy or death of an infant. Takes place at Starr Farm Nursing Home Center, 98 Starr Farm Road.

In the gymnasium. All current 8th grade students at Potsdam and their parents welcome. Students will receive info on programs, time-lines, attendance and other expectations, and tour the school.

In Griffiths, Room 123. The St. Lawrence University Outdoor Program will present photographs and video taken during the recent expedition, along with a description of the rarely traveled river, the Inuit inhabitants, and the abundant wildlife. Free.

Carol Towne, RN, a post-bariatric surgery patient herself, is the group facilitator. Anyone interested in weight loss surgery is welcome to the Human Resources Conference Room. Meetings are typically held on the 1st Thursday of the month.

At the Quality Inn. Technical staff will make presentations/answer questions about the Proposed New Order & Plan 2007. This is part of a series of sessions in seaway towns. Citizens can comment to the IJC Commissioners at Public Hearings in June.
