Inspired by our popular Science & Stories preschool program, this half-day camp will cultivate your future Kindergartener’s sense of wonder through inquiry-based storytelling and hands-on play.

Craftsman Caleb Davis will teach students how to use hand-tools to craft their own wooden canoe paddle. Space is limited to 5 participants per workshop, and pre-registration is required. The non-refundable fee of $120 is due at registration.

Ages 8-11.It’s time for lights, cameras & Legos! In this creative camp, participants will create their own Lego movie using the Digital Blue Movie Maker program. They will design the movie set by building LEGO kits.

Our native people often used antlers for both decoration and handles for their everyday objects and baskets. In this special advanced beginner class, Laura will guide you through all the steps necessary to make an exquisite antler basket.

In this 3-day class you'll learn how to mortise the legs, select birch bark and construct a beautiful addition for any living room. Learn how to select material, basic joinery, use of hand tools including Japanese saw, wood chisels, jigs and more.

Murals by Matt Burnett will adorn the outside walls of the VIC for one year.

Let’s celebrate National Ice Cream day a few days early as we investigate what makes ice cream so “cool?” In this hands-on investigation, participants will learn about the history of ice cream making, create some ice cream concoctions of their own and experiment with different ways of freezing this tasty treat. Join Pat and John Thaxton of Northern New York Audubon for an evening of birding by canoe or kayak. Meet at the left side of the Lake Everest beach and paddle upstream through a gentle current beneath an osprey nest while kingbirds feed their young.

Inkle weaving is a wonderful way to learn to weave on these small tabletop inkle looms, creating narrow bands of woven fibers – bookmarkers, sashes, straps, etc. Take the loom home on week one, return on week two to finish it & take it off the loom.

Heavy on good vibes and a groovin’ sound, The Hazel Pearl Band plays a wide variety of standards for all the right reasons. HPB is Michael Budler on lead electric guitar, Dave Nelson on bass and Reverend Mike Catanzaro on acoustic guitar and vocals.

This will be held at the Lisbon Wesleyan Church on 48 Church Street for children age three through grade eight. It is free, and registration begins on July 9 at 5:30 p.m.
