Friends of Ogdensburg Public Library Corp. will hold its Fall Book Sale Nov. 1-3, with Bag Sale on Nov. 10th. Friends is also holding a Silent Auction, featuring holiday gifts, original works of art and treats donated by local merchants and individuals.

Doors will open at 5 PM Thursday, Nov. 1. Current Friends members will receive half-off from 6-8 PM Thursday. Silent Auction items will be available for bidding the week of the sale, with winners contacted after 2 PM on Saturday, Nov. 3rd.

Concerts, workshops, discussions at the Erie Canal Museum. Featuring George Ward, Bill Hullfish, Jim Kimball, Dave Ruch, Rich Bala, and many others. All daytime events free and open to public. Co-sponsored by Erie Canal Museum & NY Folklore Society.

A holiday gift market featuring beautiful hand-made gifts and crafts from around the world. All proceeds benefit local and world mission. The sale will be held in the church's Great Hall.

St. Hubert Church will have their annual bazaar featuring live wreaths, floral arrangements, handcrafted items and several gift baskets. Lunch will be served from 11am to 1pm.

Create your own smaller version of the traditional Adirondack pack basket at this one day class with Long Lake native Shea Farrell Carr. No prior basket making experience is necessary. Cost is $60 per student. Please call to register.

Make your own traditional toboggan and have it ready when the snow flies – whoosh! This is a great class for beginners and experienced woodworkers alike. Learn to work with patterns, cut, fasten, prepare the wood for finishing & steam bend runners.

This workshop,part of Ogdensburg's celebration of the War of 1812 Bicentennial,includes a chatelaine making workshop,a bonnet making workshop,an English Country Dance demonstration,and readings from women's letters and diaries.Cost is $50 with lunch.

Celebrate with games in the Community Room. This free event is open to all ages.

Participants will hike a 2 mile loop around the shore of Arbutus Lake in the Huntington Wildlife Forest. This flat trail goes through mostly softwood and mixed wood forest, where there is the possibility of seeing Red and White-winged Crossbills.

This event will be held in the Snell Theater at SUNY Potsdam's Crane School of Music.

Open to youths 6-18 and adults. Entry fee includes lunch: $12 youth $15 adults. Five 1 Km loops with 4 shooting bouts (8-10 meters); shorter flatter course available. Waiver (on website) must be signed by parent for those 18 or under.

Over 80 vendor displays (inside & out), and inside the Fire Hall hot doughnuts, chili, macaroni-tomato-hamburder soup, cabbage & noodles, BBQ on a bun, and hot dogs. There will be homemade fudge, fried dough, and baked goods, too!

The show hours are Saturday, Nov 3rd, 9:30 am to 4 pm and Sunday, Nov 4th, 10 am to 3 pm at WB George Centre, Campus Drive, University of Guelp, Kemptville. Admission is free, but a food donation to the local food bank would be appreciated.

SUNY Plattsburgh Field House. Featuring pottery, woodworking, quilting, watercolors, oil painting, photography, toys, jewelry, stained glass and more by at least 140 vendors from all over New York and Vermont. Admission: $3. Children under 13 free.

The crazy kids of Don't Feed the Actors make their Central New York Playhouse debut. Dinner is at 6:30 pm and the show starts at 8 pm. $20 Dinner and Show, $38 Couples, $150 tables of 8, $10 Show only. It will be at the Central New York Playhouse.

In Herring-Cole Hall. Vocal Skies, a group of shapenote singers from the Canton area, presents songs on the theme of mortality in celebration of Halloween & the Day of the Dead. Songs range from 17th-19th century and are in 4 part acappella harmony.

Newcomers welcome. No partner necessary. All dances taught and called. Casual dress. Soft-soled shoes recommended. Admission is $5.00.

The Debt is a 'special project' band, whose members take time off from other playing commitments to forge a powerful ensemble, playing a broad range of music. Featuring special guest Mary Ann Casale. Tickets are $10 at the door.
