Feb 16, 2007 — Until recently, this band was called the Thundertones, and it is the longest running band at Akwesasne. Fiddler Joe Jacobs was with the band when they began playing in 1955. In the early days they mostly played for square dances. The repertoire has changed a bit, but the band members agree that it's an honor to have a place in the band's history.  Go to full article
