For Mohawks, CITGO spells relief

Leaders of the St. Regis Mohawks and eleven other tribes from Maine and Minnesota gathered in Akwesasne Tuesday night to give thanks to an unlikely source. CITGO, the U.S. branch of the national oil company of Venezuela, is giving the tribes hundreds of thousands of gallons of free home heating oil this winter. Most of the power restored to western Adks

National Grid wants to hear from customers who are still without power from Sunday's wind and snow storm. Spokesman Patrick Stella says over 42,000 people lost power during the worst of the storm. Martha Foley reports.  Go to full article

Raquette Lake residents digging out from storm

Parts of the Adirondacks remain without power this afternoon after up to 16 inches of wet, heavy snow accompanied by high winds hit the region over the weekend.
