Weather Happened: The Grays of June

The weather has been on the minds of a lot of North Country residents this week: heavy rains left flooding and washed-out roadways. We asked Adirondack artist David Douglas to describe June's weather from a visual artist's perspective. What colors would he use to "paint" the weather this month? Champlain Already High

Water levels on Lake Champlain were already nearing the high water mark. Boaters last week reported docks underwater in Essex. Gregory Warner spoke with Barry Hamilton, owner of the Essex Marina, yesterday afternoon. Hamilton estimated the water was about three feet above where it usually is this time of year.  Go to full article

Floods Hit Northern NY Hard
